We all like to play premium golf courses. But usually, they come at a premium price as well. Although we’re convinced that you’re better off paying a bit more for a great course than playing two mediocre courses for the same price, wouldn’t it be great to play a great course for a very reasonable price?

That’s why we’ve been looking for bookable courses that have our “Outstanding” certificate (a rating higher than an 8.5) but cost no more than € 75 for a round of golf. Now that’s having the best of both worlds!

  1. Have a look at the Fairmont Golf Hotel just outside St. Andrews, where you can play the Kittocks and the Torrance course for 70 UK pounds each. Two fabulous courses where it took me 5 holes to get used to the fast greens and I practised 20 minutes on the practise green before I teed up! The European tour and the Senior tour a regular visitors to these courses.
