Four in a row for Real Club Valderrama

Valderrama is not an easy course – nor is it intended to be. It is designed to call forth thought and precision for every shot. The course was designed in 1974 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr, one of the greatest golf course architects. Golfers praise the outstanding staff, the first class facilities and the demanding but beautiful golf course. They call playing at Valderrama an unforgettable experience. General Manager Javier Reviriego of Real Club Valderrama with the Golfers’ Choice Award.

Javier Reviriego, General Manager of Real Club Valderrama commented:

Over the last few years we have been working hard to improve the condition of our golf course. We have just finalized a very meticulous investment plan to upgrade our facilities and this award is a great incentive for the entire Valderrama team. Valderrama prides itself in offering some of the best manicured greens and fairways in the world but knowing that visitors also value the guest experience we provide is certainly a great motivation for all of us. The whole team of Valderrama will not take this recognition for granted. We will continue to improve both the facilities and the service we provide.

Finca Cortesín Golf Club regained their runner-up position in the ranking of Best Golf Club in Spain, after losing it to Golf Son Gual last year. The Casares based golf club recently was chosen as Best Golf Resort in Europe and does an excellent job according to the 9,07 rating Leadingcourses.com users give it. The highest new entry in the 2017 ranking is Valderrama’s neigbour La Reserva Golf Club in Sotogrande. They complete the top-3 with a rating of 9,01. Golf Son Gual loses two spots and moves to the 4th place and PGA Catalunya Resort goes from 4 to 5.

Golfers’ Choice rankings, most up to date and transparent

Every year numerous rankings circulate, announcing the best golf courses in a specific country. The Leadingcourses.com Golfers’ Choice rankings stand out because they are based on reviews written by actual golfers. You can consult these reviews online at any time. This makes these rankings the most up-to-date, transparent and independent in the golf industry. When a golf club gatherers sufficient reviews they are eligible to qualify for the Golfers’ Choice Rankings. To make sure that ratings stay relevant, reviews are devalued over time. In 2017, Leadingcourses.com rankings are published in 13 countries, Spain included.

High reliability

At the end of 2016 more than 350,000 reviews about golf courses (in nine different languages) were available on Leadingcourses.com.
