Spain has been a favorite golf destination in Europe for decades and golfers will continue to play golf in Spain. Whether you play golf in the Costa del Sol or play golf in the Costa Blanca, you will not be disappointed. This is the top-10 of Best Golf Courses in Spain.

There are 398 golf clubs in Spain, so there is much to choose from. In many lists of “best golf courses in Spain” you’ll find clubs like Real Club Valderrama, Finca Cortesín Golf Club, La Reserva – Sotogrande, and many more high end clubs. But how many people can actually play these courses? With green fees well above € 100 these golf courses are not for everyone.

We found out that there is a correlation between the number of reviews and the price of a green fee. So we decided to look at golf courses that have more than 200 reviews on Leadingcourses.com. We believe it’s safe to say that with those kind of numbers, those courses should be accessible to the majority of golfers that travel.

This ranking is based on golf courses in Spain that have more than 200 reviews on Leadingcourses.com. It was last updated on July 4th, 2019.

Best golf courses in Spain (with more than 200 reviews)

1. PGA Catalunya Resort (8.7 & 301 reviews)

The 13th hole at No.1 PGA Catalunya, considered first in the list of the best golf courses in Spain with a lot of reviews.
The 13th hole at No.1 PGA Catalunya. PGA Catalunya is considered the best golf course in Spain amongst clubs that are popular with golfers.

PGA Catalunya is one of the best golf courses in Spain and Europe. The resort has two beautiful courses, the Stadium and Tour course. The stadium course is renowned for hosting several European Tour tournaments and can be quite challenging to say the least. It’s a long course suitable for big hitters, though accuracy is also essential from the tee as the greens are surrounded by water. The Tour course is equally beautiful but plays a bit kinder than the Stadium Course. With on course hotels, villas and restaurants, PGA Catalunya is a great place to visit.

In the near future it will be possible to book your tee times for PGA Catalunya on Leadingcourses.com.

There are three courses at La Cala, that all have distinctive differences:

demands a cool head and strategic thinking because of the short but narrow holes. Campo Europa is a dramatic course but, nonetheless, more forgiving than its sister courses.
