RiSiBi review

Just back from an extended golf weekend in Marrakech. It turned out that the trip was a very good idea. In every respect value for money, very good golf courses, inexpensive hotels in the low season and the exotic, lively metropolis in addition for a cultural program and an evening program. Even though the weather was quite far away from the optimum of the season and the wind from the nearby Atlas was quite icy, we (handicaps 9 and 14) enjoyed it very much. We played Assoufid, Palmgolf Ourika, Samanah and Noria. All very good, Noria trails the other courses, but really not much. From the overall impression it is a fine golf course. It has varied and challenging holes in a good condition (beginning of February with night frost) on a flat terrain. The friend of mine who travelled with me, played other courses around Marrakech before (Atlas, Amelkis, Royal Palm, Royal Golf and Montgomerie). He says that Noria stands out compared to these courses. The course is more difficult than it appears at first sight, being not overly long. Very well and strategically bunkered and good use of water hazards. The holes near the clubhouse with square greens are really special. But why not difer from the usual? Very friendly staff. Excellent food at the clubhouse bar, buffet at 120 DH with oysters, tajin etc. Good practice facilities. Not so good was the fact, that we could not take a shower after our round and before going directly to the airport, because they had a shortage of water supply. At least they could have warned us, when we were shown to the locker rooms.
