A wonderful classic Dye layout with incredible green complexes that really protect almost every hole. Every hole is enjoyable and gives you a different look. Seven holes hug the ocean and since the south side of the Dominican Republic is rocky in nature the greens feel like they are made in the ocean. The front goes out then the ocean plays to your left on the way back to the clubhouse, then the back the ocean is to your right. The course itself is not long and as I enjoy playing a tee box up, it’s really not needed at Teeth of the Dog. Actually I think one needs to play a tee box back when visiting. Many par threes are short and would be more enjoyable from farther tee box’s. I know that’s not what many golfers normally hear but I wish I would have had this info before playing. The resort is world class as well as the clubhouse and restaurants. The locker room was a let down for me but don’t let it detour you from what awaits on the course. The practice area would complete with some of the best in the world. It’s marvelous with everything a golfer could ever want. Tooth of the Dog is a must when visiting the Dominican, you have to play it.
