About The Celtic Manor Resort

The speed with which Celtic Manor has impressed itself on the world golfing scene is little short of miraculous. Less than seven years after it was founded in 1995, it was selected as the host course for The 2010 Ryder Cup. Already one of the leading golf complexes in Europe, Celtic Manor opened the new Twenty Ten Course in 2007 - the first course in history to be purpose-built for staging The Ryder Cup. The Resort boasts three championship courses in all and a floodlit golf academy plus a 400 bed Five Star hotel and health spa and 10 luxurious Hunter Lodges, ideal for group golf breaks.

Celtic Montgomerie 3/3
Holes: 18
The Montgomerie, the other 18-hole course at Celtic Manor, bears the name of its designer, the 2010 Ryder Cup captain, Colin Montgomerie, who remained true to his roots in Scottish links golf when planning deep pot bunkers and tricky greenside swales.

Hierdoor …

Celtic Twenty Ten
mixed feelings about a course that is quite frustrating to play and depends on the conditions you find. In general whenever I have played it - wet and cold spring to mind. This day was no different. The damp air in the valley does not help ball carry distances and too many of the holes were not really reachable in 2 unless you are hitting 240 off the tee - which into wind…

Celtic Twenty Ten
