We stayed for 2 days in the hotel. Very charming but what will remind me the most is the hospitality of the employees. Extremely friendly. We played 'Le Grand Pierpont" under very bad weather conditions. But still we experienced the very good shape of the course with challenging greens and long, wide fairways. Will remain top 5 course in Belgium for me... It seems an easy course but it isn't... Long holes, difficult greens... Absolutely top but marshall has some work for pitch marks on the greens... Number of pitch marks on the greens is not acceptable... I tried to repair some of them on each hole but even then there still were too many...
Golf de Pierpont opened its fairways - designed by architect Johan Dudok van Heel - in 1992. They are beautifully integrated in 67 hectares of mildly sloping, landscaped countryside. The par 72 championship course is open to the elements making the playing experience different from day to day. Vast bunkers and water elements join manicured fairways, strategically placed trees and bushes and fast greens. It is also renowned as one of Belgium's best all-season courses. The Course has been completely revised and upgraded - architect Bruno Steensels - in 2011. The quality of Pierpont is not least shown by the competitions it hosted, like the European Seniors Tour, the National PGA Open, the National Junior Open, the Alps Tour and the European Challenge Tour!
