I played Esker hills on a mid February morning as Storm Ellen was gathering around Ireland and still fully enjoyed the round. The clue is in the name, a very hilly course where you are exposed to the elements on a large number of holes.
There's a practice green beside the club house and while I only saw a net to practice your striking I did not have the time or weather …
