Played in a Seniors Pairs Open. A Club with a lot of tradition. There are some very interesting and quite historic artefacts in the Clubhouse. Staff very welcoming.

Der erste Platz bei unserer Liverpool Reise den wir gespielt haben und es hat sich gelohnt. Sehr gemütliches Clubhaus mit einem doch nicht ganz so einfachen Golfplatz. Hesketh gespeeld op een winderinge dag in juni. Voor de ronde druilerig en regenachtig. Gedurende de ronde stralend weer wat helpt om een lekkere ronde te spelen. Hesketh wordt genoemd als Links baan maar is omring door bomen. Helaas waren de 17e en 18e vanwege onderhoud zwaar ingekort. Beide par 5 maar nu respectievelijk een par 3 en par 4. Prima onderhouden baan. De holes zijn niet erg lang, dus vaak na een drive een kort ijzer naar de vlag. Mooie greens, niet heel snel. Veel potbunkers, zowel midden fairway als rondom de green. Niet al te hoge randen dus goed uit te komen. De baan was droog en daarmee hard dus veel rol mee. Goed te lopen, eigenlijk geen hoogteverschillen. Clubhuis, authentieke stijl, ligt … More

From the moment you drive in you know you are in for a good day and a good test. The course is a great layout with a good mix of holes to test and reward, the biggest test is some of the blind shots which make you trust your aim and the info in the course planner. Nice location with a pleasant clubhouse and definitely worth a return visit.

A round at Hesketh is very much a game of two halves. Well almost. Whilst there is no doubting this is a true links golf course seven of the holes are certainly more 'linksy' than the others. Deze baan is al meer dan 100 jaar oud. Normaal gesproken zijn dat super goede golfbanen. Hesketh vind ik erg tegenvallen. De baan is zeer matig van kwaliteit. Je moet een dwars over enkele holes lopen om de drivinginrange te bereiken. De ballenautomaat staat op de parkeerplaats, dus moet de ballen helemaal daar naar toe sjouwen.
