About Bramhall Golf Club

Bramhall Golf Club, founded in 1905, started as a 9-hole course with a makeshift clubhouse at a local farm. However, with the involvement of Open Champion Alex Herd, the course expanded to 18-holes, earning a reputation as one of the best in the area. Renowned architect Dr. Mackenzie supervised subsequent improvements. Despite changes, the Club acknowledges the original contributors who laid the foundation for its current excellence. Visitors can only play during the weekend on invitation by a member.

Currently the men's course measures 6347 yards with a standard par of 70, whilst the ladies' course measures 5689 yards with a par of 73. The high standard of the course is reflected in the fact that the Club has regularly hosted county and regional fixtures and has also had the honour of hosting the European Ladies Matchplay Championship.
