About the club The Celtic Manor Resort

The speed with which Celtic Manor has impressed itself on the world golfing scene is little short of miraculous. Less than seven years after it was founded in 1995, it was selected as the host course for The 2010 Ryder Cup. Already one of the leading golf complexes in Europe, Celtic Manor opened the new Twenty Ten Course in 2007 - the first course in history to be purpose-built for staging The Ryder Cup. The Resort boasts three championship courses in all and a floodlit golf academy plus a 400 bed Five Star hotel and health spa and 10 luxurious Hunter Lodges, ideal for group golf breaks.

Celtic Roman Road
Best price-quality I ever experienced in 20 years of playing golf. £18 for a twilight greenfee. Only £10 for a rental set (Titleist + Scotty Cameron putter). Nice course. Some easy and open holes. Other holes bit more tricky with aome blind shots. Nice slopy holes and great views of the surroundings.

Others, it can also do a terrible overrating job. In regards to Celtic Manor specifically, my expectations where quite high. Had the property reach them? Not quite with the size of the hotel. YES with some …
