Very nice Jack Nicklaus designed golf course (the very 1st one in Continental Europe) where precision is the key if you want to score here. Not very long but most of the greens are quite small and well protected. Same goes for thr Par 3's which are not long but it is not easy to get to the dance floor. Considering the fact that this is probably one the best golf courses in Austria, surprisingly some fairways were not in the best shape, but nothing too serious. Greens were quite nice and the speed was decent too. Some tee-boxes could be better maintained too. First nine is much more of a mental game as you will find hazards on both sides of fairly narrow fairways on most of the holes, either OB, water, bunkers, you name it, they got it. Some very tough holes are 3,6 and 7. Second nine is much hillier and also much more forgiving but with very tricky set of finishing holes 16-18. Driving range could also be better maintained as the grass was like the semi-rough. Lovely clubhouse with well stocked pro shop and nice restaurant in set in lovely traditional Austrian farm house. Definitely worth playing if you are in the area.
