The golf course of St-Saens, theater for many years of a European tournament, is a par 71 of 6009 m. Varied, it is divided into three distinct parts: the river, the forest, and the plateau which each offer different difficulties.

The "river" part from 1 to 5 is characterized by the Varenne which borders the fairways and the greens.

The "forest" part from the 6th to the 10th snakes through the forest of centuries-old beech and oak trees.

The "plateau" part, the final, where the less narrow fairways allow the long distance lovers to breathe a little, to finish with the cruel par 3 N°17 and 18, on a green bordered with bunkers with the beautiful castle in the background which offers a real majestic whole picture!

De baan heeft een prachtige ligging maar was niet meer in dezelfde staat als twee jaar geleden toen wij er ook speelden. Het baan onderhoud is nu matig. Naast de fairway is het gras zo hoog dat ballen terugvinden en spelen bijna onmogelijk is, De ontvangst was rommelig en het kasteel waarin het hotel en restaurant zich bevinden was verwaarloosd. Het hotel bleek gesloten en het restaurant was dat ook toen we om 18.30 van de baan kwamen. Heel erg jammer want het is een prachtige baan op een geweldige plek. Hopelijk ziet iemand hier weer brood in om hem echt te gaan exploiteren. We komen er dan zeker nog eens terug.

Que voilà un parcours intéressant! Et pourtant joué par temps très pluvieux qui nous a un peu gâché le plaisir mais qui ne nous a pas caché la qualité et le niveau de ce parcours. Remarquables! Pas étonnant qu'il accueille des compétitions du Challenge Tour européen. Boisé, accidenté, aqueux, tout est réuni pour un parcours talentueux A refaire sans pluie. Club house dans une belle demeure, le château de Vaudichon où l'accueil, de type familial est chaleureux et passionné. Le plus : y séjourner (hôtel) et dîner.
