Mougins

Ik had 4 dagen ervoor telefonisch gereserveerd, starttijd 13.10 uur. Was in de ochtend 75 euro, na 13.00 uur 50 euro en na 15.00 uur 40 euro. Voor ons, met bevestigde starttijd dus 50 euro pp. Komen we daar, zegt de mevrouw achter de balie: dat is dan 2x 79 (!) euro. Dus ik vraag hoezo? Heb 4 dagen geleden gereserveerd voor deze starttijd, prijs 50 euro pp? Krijg ik, op een zeer onvriendelijke manier, een papier onder mijn neus gewapperd dat dit 2 dagen geleden veranderd is naar 79 euro. Geen excuus, geen: toch voor 50 euro wegens gereserveerde boeking. Tja, wat doe je dan? Net een uur gereden om er te komen... Dus betaald, maar niet tevreden. Als we klaar zijn, gaat mijn man de sleutel van de handicart inleveren bij de balie. Snauwt ze hem toe dat deze niet op de goede plaats staat! Daar kan hij niet opgeladen worden... We waren er toen wel klaar mee en hebben haar vriendelijk verzocht om deze zelf maar op de goede plaats te zetten. Kan best voor 79 euro toch? Deze dame van de receptie krijgt van ons voor klantvriendelijkheid een dikke 1! En bovendien waren we niet blij met de plotselinge prijsverhoging van 50 naar 79 euro. Voorwaar geen klein bedragje. Nooit meer hier naar toe. Baan was wel goed verzorgd, mooi maar niet uitdagend. Mooie locatie. Horeca buiten was goed, binnen geen gebruik van gemaakt.

The golf course is very nice. Reasonably wide fairways and large tricky greens. A number of doglegs and a few blind drives off of the white tees keeps the course interesting and position off the tee on these holes is important to get a score. The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Also, what was really nice to see were groups of young, enthusiastic players being taught by the professional, which suggests a very family friendly club. Definitely recommend playing.
