The Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, the chosen venue of the Italian Golf Federation’s 2022 Ryder Cup bid, is a green oasis of relaxation just a few miles from the centre of Rome.
The course offers 27 holes and a view of St Peter’s Dome from several sites, which adds excitement to the game. The Marco Simone is a showcase of worldwide scope and it has been the venue for the Italian Open.
It is ideal for all golfing enthusiasts, therefore, but also for those who love the quality of a healthy, sporting lifestyle.
In 2018, European Golf Design's Dave Sampson was appointed as lead architect to redesign the course to make it suitable for matchplay golf and for the course and surrounding property to be able to handle the large Ryder Cup crowds that it will be facing in 2023.

Marco Simone was selected to host the Ryder Cup in 2022 and is designed by David Mezzacane and Jim Fazio the same architects as Nationale north of Rome. The course is owned by the family of Laura Biagotti famous for perfume and fashion and they had a great vision for the course. I didn't know what to expect after reading the reviews. So I was really surprised about the design of the 1st 9 holes, the variety and the good quality of the fairways, bunkers and greens. The 2nd 9 holes are not comparable with the 1st 9 holes. So nice, well designed and very challenging to play. What a pleasure to play these golf course.

Mi sono divertito su questo campo partendo subito dopo una gara riservata. La preparazione di fairways e greens era da urlo! Molto molto belle le buche 10-18, in generale durante il gioco si ha una visuale molto concentrata sul campo, con rare concessioni ai dintorni. Ci si sente immersi nel gioco!
