Circolo Golf Degli Ulivi Sanremo

The Circolo Golf degli Ulivi in Sanremo extends over the undulating terrain of the mountain slopes overwhelming the town. Touristically Sanremo has always been reputed for its mild climate with little rains even in the winter season. The idea to build the course, in an already well renowned area, came to the Municipality of Sanremo in 1932, with the goal to promote tourism and offer foreign golfers an additional reason to spend their winter holidays in the sunny climate of the Riviera. Though not particularly long, the course is somewhat tricky, with narrow, complex holes where precision rather than power is needed. The Sanremo Golf has always hosted important events, among them Italian Opens in the Thirties and Forties, the Masters in the Eighties, the European Senior Tour in 2004.
