Argentario golf course

Ho giocato 3 volte in un mese trovando il campo in ordine ma mai perfetto. Il percorso quando l’hai conosciuto non ti stimola più tanto. Lo scenario è bello. L’accoglienza è calorosa.

Il percorso presenta buche con caratteristiche diverse, il che rende intriganti le scelte di gioco. Tee da punti sopraelevati regalano viste mozzafiato e qualche sospiro, quando la palla prende il volo. Il terreno di gioco è moderatamente mosso, il che consente di percorrerlo anche con carrello a mano. Attenzione agli intricati cespugli ai lati di alcuni fairways: sembrano innocui, ma sono molto fitti e non è facile ritrovarci la palla. Un po' limitata l'ampiezza del putting green, un po' meglio il driving range. Sottotono, invece, secondo me, i parcheggi scoperti, poco rifiniti e un po' distanti. C'è, invece, un enorme garage interrato, molto bello. La segreteria è rilegata in un desk all'ingresso della struttura che ospita il bar, il pro-shop, i bagni. Non ho provato la ristorazione, ma la terrazza rialzata con vista sul campo e con il mare sullo sfondo, merita, da sola, il viaggio. Gli spogliatoi sono accanto ad una spa che sembrava essere di rilievo, all'interno della struttura ricettiva che occorre attraversare. Ora, se scenderne le scale o usarne l'ascensore dà modo di apprezzarne i ricercati dettagli stilistici dell'arredamento e dell'architettura, costringe anche ad una certa commistione fra giocatori e soggiornanti che, personalmente avrei cercato di ridurre. Le tariffe, di camere, campo e servizi, sono piuttosto alte, come l'allure del promontorio dell'Argentario consentono.

An experience to forget and these are the reasons why: - For the first 8 holes my wife and I have always had to wait for the "nailing" and sandblasting of the greens by the field workers; - no one in the office informed us that they were working on the greens of the first nine holes; - all the greens of the 18 holes were "nailed" and sandblasted, therefore practically unplayable; - when we picked up the buggy nobody bothered to provide the mini fridge with ice and at least 2 bottles of water - the day was very hot - as a gesture of welcome. In conclusion: - pay 2 x 120€ green fee (and 50€ for the buggie) to play in the conditions I described is simply "unacceptable"! It would have been enough to inform us about the works and kindly ask us to start playing on the back nine. It’s still unacceptable such a green fee price considering the conditions of the greens! - attention to the customer is fundamental and a small gift of two bottles of water would have been very appreciated - not because I could not buy the two bottles of water - but in a location that boasts of being "high level" customer care is "fundamental"!
