About Poggio dei Medici Golf & Country Club
Opened in 1992, with 18 holes par 73 the UNA Poggio dei Medici Golf Club course is one of the finest in Italy. Designed by the architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and by the golfer Baldovino Dassù, it was built to USGA standards and immediately recognized as "The Best New Golf Course" in Italy.
The Golf Course, set in the Mugello valley, sheltered by Apennines, offers 5 different starting tees for an exciting game for all levels. There is a driving range complete with pitching and putting greens, bunkers, 6 covered and 24 opened spots. The Course is open all the year round, seven days a week. Poggio dei Medici has been home to the Ladies Italian Open from 1999 to 2003, and hosted Alps Tour and European Challenge.
It was awarded as "Italy's Best Course" in 2016 and 2017 at WGA.

Campo mosso e ondulato. Da conoscere perché ha tanto tee shot cechi. Manutenzione buona, anche se i fairway erano molto duri e i green lenti e non troppo scorrevoli.
Consigliato l’uso del cart visti i saliscendi continui.
Bella la clubhouse e la piscina, anche se ho trovato estremamente caro il bar.

Campo paesaggisticamente spettacolare, molto faticoso (cart consigliato) con alcuni spostamenti lunghi.
Considerando la stagione ho trovato la manutenzione un po’ scadente.
Bella la club house e il pro-shop, ambiente un po’ molto turistico.
In generale comunque merita un bel giro di 18 buche... col cart :).

Poggio dei Medici
Campo veramente bello, il percorso si snoda nell'appennino tosco emiliano, impegnativo dal punto di vista fisico perchè ci sono molti sali e scendi... consigliabile il cart.
Tutto è tenuto molto bene e la manutenzione è giornaliera, unica piccola pecca il next tee non era sempre segnalato benissimo
Tornerò sicuramente.
