Europa

Europe

Golf as a sport first took off along the sandy shorelines of Great Britain, particularly along the east coast of Scotland. Since then - due to a rising middle class and better transporation means - golf has spread throughout Europe.

Golf courses in Sweden are really part of the overall landscape. They are beautifully located and merge seamlessly into the surrounding countryside. A passing moose or other wildlife is not uncommon during a round of golf and the quality of the courses is high. Swedish courses are open to green fee players.

Sweden

Golf in Sweden, with over 300 golf courses, is a growth industry. You will find championship courses such as Kungsängen GC in Stockholm and Halmstad on the west coast. Given the geography and topography of Sweden, the country is ideally suited for golf. The golf courses are either located on the rugged coast or they are situated in huge forests with meandering streams.

Los campos de golf en Suecia son realmente parte del paisaje general. Están perfectamente ubicados y se integran en el paisaje. Golfbanen zijn in Zweden onderdeel van het totale landschap. Ze zijn schitterend gelegen en gaan naadloos over in de omringende natuur. Een voorbijtrekkende eland of ander wild is geen zeldzaamheid tijdens een partijtje golf en de kwaliteit van de golfbanen is hoog te noemen. Zweedse golfbanen zijn open voor greenfee spelers.

Zweden

Golf is in Zweden, dat meer dan 400 banen telt, sterk in opkomst. Je vindt er kampioenschapsbanen als Kungsängen GC bij Stockholm en Halmstad GC aan de westkust. Gezien de geografie en topografie van Zweden is het land bij uitstek geschikt om te golfen. De golfbanen liggen of aan de ruige kust en anders liggen ze in enorme bossen met kronkelende stroompjes.

Golfbanor i Sverige är verkligen en del av landskapet. De är vackert belägna och smälter smidigt in i den omgivande landsbygden. En  älg kan springa förbi eller annat vilda djur är inte ovanligt under en golf omgång och kvaliteten på banorna är hög. Svenska banor är öppna för greenfee-spelare.

Sverige

Golf i Sverige, med över 300 golfbanor, är en tillväxtindustri. Du hittar mästerskapsbanor som i Stockholm och på västkusten. Med tanke på Sveriges geografi och topografi är landet idealiskt lämpat för golf. Golfbanorna är antingen belägna på den robusta kusten eller de ligger i enorma skogar med slingrande bäckar.

18-hålsbanan

Driving by Ljungbyhed and decided to check out the course. Great availability, even on a Saturday morning, and took off for 18 holes on my own. Overall, it was a very positive surprise. Starting off with a short par 3, followed by a short par 4, its kind of an easy way to commence a round of golf. The fun starts on hole 3, and during the first nine also 5,6 and 7 are fun to play. 11 is a great, quite long par 5, with well located bunkers. 14,15 and 16 are the best holes on the course. Nice heathland surroundings and great turf. Some greens had signs of snow mold, but overall in reasonable to good conditions. Clearly not the fastest greens I’ve seen and quite slow for being end of July. Very decent green fee and significantly more bang for the buck than surrounding courses. Well worth a visit. I’ll be back!

Det skulle behövas något torn eller klocka på hål 7 o 13,för att veta var bollen framför befinner sig.Det skulle öka säkerheten och snabba på spelet

Vissa greener var skadade och ibland var det lite svårt att hitta till nästa hål. Men jag blev positivt överraskad av banan och när de skadade greenerna är fixade så kan den mäta sig mot de som har dubbelt så hög greenfee. Mycket prisvärd och förtjänar ett bättre rykte.
