A round of golf at De Haenen takes you through four different areas which make this golf course so unique. From the blooming roughs of the wetlands and grassy areas, you enter the park area with the two large ponds and the many rhododendrons and azaleas and then into the historic forest area. From hole 13 the terrain becomes more hilly with a beautiful area of heather and sand drifts. Quote from Golfweekly: Sometimes it is disturbing to have different parts intersected by paths, but at De Haenen it is done very well.

Hier op zaterdag gespeeld (speciale zomerdeal) met een paar collega's van Leadingcourses. Aanrijden is wat onwenning, je hebt niet direct het gevoel dat je op de juiste weg zit naar de golfbaan. Ruime parkeerplaats en mooi clubhuis (wat nu verbouwd werd, vandaar wat lager cijfer) en mooi terras dat uitkijkt op de 18e hole.

De golfbaan is goed te vinden vanaf de afslag 17 op de A27. Op de mooie oprijlaan hou rechts aan en rij naar achteren, want de golfbaan heeft een ruim eigen parkeerterrein. De 2e 9 holes gespeeld deze keer. Wat een prachtige lus is dit. De holes zijn allemaal mooi gelegen in of tussen de bossen. De meeste holes straffen je slechte slag en af, maar niet dusdanig dat je geen punten meer kan halen.
Baan lag er prachtig bij, de greens zijn wat hobbelig af en toe en wat aan de trage kant. Verder niks op aan te merken.
