In 2013 is er een start gemaakt met een renovatie naar de huidige maatstaven en richtlijnen om daarmee de golfbaan voor de toekomst klaar te hebben. De golfbaan is daardoor veel aantrekkelijker en uitdagender geworden en een aantal holes zullen in de toekomst nog worden heringericht.

Kleiburg

Rondje Kleiburg gedaan. Eerste negen gelopen. Bij aankomst geen oplaadmogelijkheden. Ontvangst was uitermate vriendelijk en alles werd goed uitgelegd. De greenfee vind ik fors te hoog en al helemaal voor een vrijdagmiddag. De oefenfaciliteiten zijn eigenlijk slecht. Op de driving range zijn de ballen niet goed, de afstandsmarkers onduidelijk en de matten buiten duidelijk aan vervanging toe. De chip en putting greens zijn héél erg slecht, maar de putting greens komen wel overeen met die in de baan. De greens waren allemaal bezand, ok, maar enorm hobbelig en traag. De teeboxen en fairways waren prima, de rough was vrij hoog en heel stug. De baan heeft een aantal lange wat saaie holes en zeker langs het kanaal hing er een weeïge lucht van nabijgelegen industrie. Gelukkig zijn er ook wel wat holes waar je je coursemanagement in de gaten moet houden. Het restaurant (lunch) was prima, met een heel vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Heel misschien dat ik hier nog eens ga spelen, maar vermoed van niet.

Afwisselende, relatief korte golfbaan. Goede oefenfaciliteiten, maar wel relatief klein. Klein, mooi clubhuis waar we warm werden ontvangen. Golfbaan was in mooie staat en greens rolden erg goed. Best leuke afwisselende holes met goede risk / reward verhouding.

Eine Golfplatz-Perle auf einer kleinen Halbinsel südlich von Rotterdam versteckt. Nette Leute, die mich als Gast vergünstigt haben mitspielen lassen. Gut gepflegte Löcher ohne Hinterlassenschaften des dürren Sommers. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr hilfsbereit und pragmatisch.

Einer der beliebtesten und besten Golfclubs in Südholland ist der Koninklijke Haagsche G&CC in Wassenaar. Dieser 18-Loch-Golfplatz befindet sich in den Dünen, weniger als vier Kilometer vom Meer entfernt. Der Platz gilt als einer der schönsten und besten Golfplätze in Südholland und den Niederlanden. In der Vergangenheit wurden hier auch mehrmals die KLM Open, ein Turnier der European Tour, ausgetragen. Dieser Golfplatz in Süd-Holland liegt in den Dünen, und wenn der Wind weht, ist es ziemlich anstrengend, ein gutes Ergebnis zu erzielen. Jedes Loch bietet eine andere Aussicht, was das Golfspielen im Koninklijke Haagsche G&CC einzigartig macht. Der Golfclub Noordwijkse gilt auch als einer der besten Golfclubs in dieser Region.
