Golfpark Soestduinen is een volwassen 9 holes par3 baan gelegen in het fraaie natuurgebied van de Soester duinen. Zowel de golfbaan als het clubhuis liggen direct naast het Double Tree by Hilton hotel. De baan heeft alle natuurelementen in zich. Waterpartijen, heidestroken, volwassen (naald)bomen en is licht geaccidenteerd. De afmetingen van de greens en bunkers zijn even groot als die van een 18 holes baan. Kortom, het is een complete en uitdagende parkbaan die alles in zich heeft en geliefd is bij de betere golfer.

Par 3 Soestduinen

Erg korte baantjes, maar goed om het korte werk te oefenen.

Hele leuke par-3 baan in een mooie omgeving! Zeker nu de heide in bloei staat ziet het er heel fraai uit allemaal. Het hotel en de apartementen er omheen moet je dan wel even wegdenken. De holes zijn uiteraard kort, maar je hebt wel het gevoel dat je op een volwaardige baan loopt. Met een par op hole #2 en #3 was ik behoorlijk tevreden. #5 en #6 zijn leuke holes waarbij je het gevoel hebt een beetje blind naar de vlag te slaan. #7 vond ik zelf nogal frustrerend omdat ik voor de afstand (een meter of 70 met de pinpositie van vandaag) een gap-wedge nodig had, maar die vrij hoog sla en dus tegen de takken kwam die net voor de green hangen. Het zal wel bewust en strategisch zijn, maar toch frustrerend ;-) De baan ligt er ook echt goed bij moet ik zeggen. Redelijk vlotte greens die - net als de fairways - heel goed onderhouden zijn. Petje af voor de greenkeepers in deze droge periode! Al met al heb ik geen bunker geraakt, niet in het water gelegen en ben ik maar één bal kwijt geraakt. In vele opzichten een bijzonder goede score dus. Als je een keer lekker aan je korte spel wilt werken is Soestduinen zeker het overwegen waard. P.S. Voor iedereen die dit leest: repareer je pitchmarks aub! Zeker bij dit soort korte banen waarbij je vaak van de tee op de green slaat is het zó belangrijk dat je pitchmarks fixt. Ik heb er zeker 5 á 6 per green gerepareerd.

Quite good par-3 course for beginners and high handicap individuals to practise and lower their hcp. Greens are fast and well maintained tee boxes. Although, a short course it is competitive at the same time. Was there on hot day and credit to the architect who designed the course since I played almost under the shadows.
