What a great place to start our Ryder Cup trip 2021. Fabulous welcome in the clubhouse and we had lunch overlooking the 18th. Course was in excellent condition and the greens were perfect ready for The Rose Series on Saturday. We especially enjoyed the stretch of holes from no 7 through to no 14. What an amazing course situated in a magnificent surrounding. For me it was not the most difficult course but everything was just perfect; fast greens, smooth fairways and thick rough. Reception, and especially Adam, was very hostile! A nice experience of English hospitality. For me an unforgettable round of golf.

Played Bearwood Lakes on a beautiful October day. Everything about this place oozes class. From its location in stunning woodland just outside Reading, to the facilities and the Golf course itself. Schitterend gelegen, prachtig onderhouden en geweldige architectuur. Ondanks vroeg op het seizoen, heel goed speelbaar (alles zomergreens). Uitdagende baan en greens die wat analyse vragen. Besloten baan met weinig mogelijkheden voor greenfee. Gelukkig al drie keer gespeeld. Als je het clubhuis inloopt kijk je direct uit op hole 1 en 18 wat een uitzicht! In de omgeving van Oxford zijn diverse goede golfbanen. Bearwood Lakes hoort daar zeker bij. Prima holes in een fraaie omgeving. Het geheel doet denken aan een exclusieve Amerikaanse private club, maar het ontwerp van de baan en de sfeer zijn traditioneel Engels. Een geslaagde combinatie.
