There's not much to say about this course. All the ambiance speaks for it self, and the service tops any doubt. Cady service 5 stars, and course conditions without a single thing to point at. No wonder is a The Open Venue!

Great to revisit Hoylake and this was the first time i have played the course since the changes have been made. As always the course was presented in great condition and whilst the greens had been seeded and sanded they ran very true and quick for this time of year. Great day at a fabulous links course. Good views of the river. Luckily a nice sunny day with low wind speed.

Een baan met veel traditie niet alleen omdat het een baan van The Open rota is. Clubhuis is zo’n beetje een museum te noemen. “Buren” als Birkdale, Lythem en Formby hebben qua golf meer. Maar goed dat is persoonlijke voorkeur. Prijs is zeer stevig maar voor de True Links golfer wel een baan van de bucket list. Tja en daar heb je dan wel wat voor over...

Voor deze greenfeeprijs, zijn er een veel mooiere golfbanen in de buurt. Royale Liverpool heeft de naam omdat er een Britisch open op gespeeld kan worden vanwege de benodigde ruimten voor tentendorp etc. Maar het is to h wel een uitdaging om een goede score neer te zetten

Good golf course, less spectacular than portrush or county down but absolutely would recommend despite the high greenfee.

There’s no hiding away from the fact that Hoylake isn’t easy on the eye, certainly for the opening and closing holes where the exterior views are predominantly residential. Ontvangst was perfect. We mochten van de club na de 1e 18-holes aan het begin van de avond nogmaals de baan in. Met een prachtig avondzonnetje was dat bijzonder. Greens goed. Blijf uit de bunkers en de rough op sommige plaatsen. Sommige holes zijn prachtig, maar de echte aauwh factor mist deze baan

Mooie linksbaan die vrij moeilijk is. Behoort tot de rota van The Open Championship. Ook wel Hoylake Links genoemd. Veel lange holes, uitstekende fairways en perfecte greens. Typisch Engels clubhuis.
