Founded in 1891 by members of nearby Hoylake, Wallasey is very conveniently located for those living on the Liverpool side of the Mersey. Old Tom Morris arranged the original layout which has been heavily modified by A Herd, H Hilton, J Braid, Hawtree & Taylor and fairly recently (2004) by Donald Steel. The club has two claims to fame.
