Greens are always in excellent condition. Many interesting holes and a good maxim is that position not length is the key to a good score; if you end up in the abundant heather, take your medicine and move on! Yes the road isn't ideal - and the crossing from 14 to 15 is a health and safety nightmare (please cross where requested and don't try to cut corners!) - but its safer than when I started playing here and it was the main road from London to Portsmouth! The course is preparing for some big changes in the next 2 years with a reconfiguration including a tunnel under the road - the 14th will disappear; the 10th and 11th will be merged; and 2 new holes will be created and holes renumbered. Play it now whilst in its largely original layout, and then come back in 2020 to try the updated version!
