The new holes fit surprisingly well into what was already a relatively tight but playable, heather-lined strategic course. Shame to lose the 14th, but the new 9th maintains the need to play around some blocking trees for your second, and the new run in on the back nine certainly benefits from the old 9th becoming the 14th. Great condition as always - superb greens running fast and true. Extended parking a boon and 2 practice greens by the clubhouse. Only downside really is a short practice range a good 5-10 mins walk from clubhouse across the 2nd and 4th fairways - when you get there it has been improved with a chipping / bunker green (although this is a further walk still!). Although the road crossings remain, and the railway still runs along several holes I still think Liphook deserves its best in Hampshire crown, and should continue to rise up the overall UK rankings as the new holes and landscaping bed in. Good luck in 2022 with all the centenary events!
