Had a great experience here both on and off the course. The clubhouse has a great bar area with a good food and drink selection. Great changing rooms and facilities along with a big pro shop. The golf course was excellent with stunning views. Would highly recommend it.

Once you arrive you can notice the amount of history circulating on all the clubhouse walls. Very demanding course, specially with the amount of bunkers. Very well maintained, where every detail matters. Great food at the restaurant.

When we arrived, the weather was horrific, rain coming in sideways and puddles everywhere. The pro shop were more the happy to move our tee time a few hours and we were made to feel very welcome in the clubhouse. Hier spielt man Geschichte. Der Wahnsinn wenn man sich während der Runde bewusst wird wer hier schon alles drüber gelaufen ist. Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Tiger Woods um nur einen Bruchteil zu nennen. You feel the history once you walk up to the clubhouse of the Royal Birkdale. This course is so beautiful that even when you have a mishit, it doesn’t matter.. and belief me I had some :).

Royal Birkdale is a golf course which is incredibly hard not to like but at the same time it’s not an easy one to truly love. its a little bit of golfing heaven on the Southport coastline. There is no better English links - just a shame that the the green fee is so high for the humble visitor.

Fantastisk, såklart! 4 unga...? (nåja) ystra kalvar på grönbete, en av högtidsstunderna på en golfbana i livet. Däremot en bra bit att gå till rangen, minus där. Mat och bemötande mycket bra, banan fantastisk.

Dit is een van mijn favoriete clubs. Een klassieke links doorheen een duinenlandschap met fijne, lange holes, knappe greens en doordachte bunkerplaatsing. De omgeving is prachtig. Altijd een topervaring om hier te mogen spelen.

yes, the price is high (if you are not lucky enough to play with a member) - but in this case you need to compare apples with apples and i. e. Royal Liverpool is as famous and as expansive, but does not deliver the same outstanding experience - WHAT A GOLF COURSE!

Dit is een van de mooiste banen die ik ooit gespeeld heb. Je betaalt behoorlijk veel voor je greenfee, maar de baan is elke pond waard. Alle toppers van de wereld hebben hier gespeeld. One of my dream courses for many reasons and this is one of them. My father Keith Ashdown played here in the 100th Open. Sadly he finished outside the cut mark but it was a great experience to be playing in a group behind Jack Nicklaus.
