Royal Birkdale was my first stop on my recent golf trip to Southport. It was a wonderful sunny day in May and I wanted to make sure to soak it all in. Upon arrival at the clubhouse the head pro showed me around and I enjoyed a full English breakfast before a quick warm up on the range.
