About West Lancashire Golf Club
The West Lancashire Golf Club was founded in 1873 by seven members of Royal Liverpool Golf Club anxious to expand the 'Scottish national game' by bringing it across the River Mersey.
As such, the West Lancashire Golf Club is the oldest in the county of Lancashire and one of the earliest golf clubs in England. It is considered as one of the most natural and testing links found in the Brittain.
The current course was designed by C K Cotton, and is laid out on some 200 acres of land and succeeds in carrying out the ideal layout of a golf course – two loops of nine holes with the 9th and 18th greens in front of the clubhouse.

Mijn eerste ronde van 2020 was op de West Lancashire Golf Club. Vanuit centrum Liverpool ongeveer 25 minuten rijden. Tijdens ons verblijf waren veel golfbanen in de omgeving bezet en/of gesloten dus vandaar dat we (enkel) op deze baan gespeeld hebben. Weet je die aanpassing goed te maken valt hier veel te halen.

Have had the pleasure of playing this golf course quite often over the years.
A true links course with many challenging holes. I’d like to play off the white tees but the course is still challenging off the yellows.
Practice facilities are great can take the driver out if you wish to.
