De hoogst gelegen golfbaan van Engeland. Het is een prachtige baan gelegen op een hoogvlakte, met fantastische vergezichten. Mooie en goed onderhouden (af en toe smalle) greens. Fairways zoals fairways moeten zijn. Coursemanagement loont. Een baan om echt een keer gespeeld te hebben.

Ik heb deze baan alleen gespeeld op een mooie zomerse dag. Wat een ervaring. Hoogstgelegen baan van Engeland. Prachtige omgeving en vergezichten. Mooie uitdagende holes waar je regelmatig schapen tegenkomt. Absolute hoogtepunt is wellicht de 18-de par vier waar een gemiddelde speler kan proberen de green te halen vanaf de tee.

Met een weergaloos uitzicht, is Kington een toeristische bestemming en golfuitje gecombineerd. Je deelt de baan ook soms met wandelaars, want de goffa’s dyke loopt deels door de baan.
