Alford is always in fantastic condition when I play. The greens are the smoothest around. I’ve played there on and off for 20 years. Don’t be fooled by its length, it isn’t the longest course but it certainly is tricky! They adjusted the layout so that the 9th comes back to the clubhouse, perfect if you don’t want to commit to 18. The clubhouse atmosphere is what sets it off. Chay and the staff behind the bar are what makes it such a welcoming club. The food is also brilliant, with big portions for a reasonable price. Please do take the time to play here, you won’t be disappointed.

Naast golf heeft Schotland nog veel meer te bieden. Schotland kent een ongerepte natuur, majestueuze landschappen, grote kastelen en historische steden. En als je van malt whisky houdt, dan zijn één van de vele whisky-trails zeker een aanrader. When visiting Aberdeenshire, a good idea would be to visit the Balmoral Castle, which is the Scottish Highland residence of the British royal family. Aberdeenshire is also home to Cairngorms National Park and Aberdeen - although not part of Aberdeenshire - is certainly worth a visit.
