The Course was build for the purpose of hosting the Australian Open, it was supposed to be the venue for it every second or third year, if my info is correct. In any case, it shows that the property is developed to host big events. There are plenty rooms for visitors, the clubhouse is relatively big and modern, the pro-shop sufficiently stacked and the practice facilities… Mehr

I played the first nine holes of the Open course twice last week first time in normal conditions, second time in stiff winds. Already in normal conditions the course is a challenge in strong winds it’s a super challenge mainly because the many bunkers are difficult to avoid. Moonah Links, The Home of the Australian Golf, was specially build to stage the Australien Open 2003 & 2005. Its a hilly sandbelt type links course on Mornington Peninsula.
