Mijas Golf: Bewertungen

Mijas golfclub har två fina 18-hålsbanor och vi spelade Los Olivos en runda och Los Lagos två rundor i mitten av april-22. Båda var i fint skick. Los Olivos är lite smalare och ”knixigare” och mer ondulerade men inte så snabba greener. Leuke baan net heel snelle greens. Voor hoge en midhandicapers kunnen hoogte verschillen uitdagend zijn, maar de baan is goed speelbaar. De waterpartijen maakt dat je coursemanagement een belangrijke factor speelt. Zeker de moeite waard om een keer te lopen.

As a fan of Robert Trend Jones I had to play Mijas golf and the truth is that I was not disappointed at all, it is a great course. It is a long course although it is not very demanding off the tee, you do need to hit it hard, the fairways are wide and have little movement. The greens roll well and are in good shape.

Mijas is een aardige golfclub met 2x 18 holes. Wij hebben de Olives gespeeld op 23 febr. Het baanonderhoud is prima en de greens erg snel met veel ondulering. De eerste 9 holes zijn vlak met wel erg brede fairways en niet zo spannend. De tweede 9 holes zijn leuker om te spelen. Smallere fairways en holes met behoorlijk hoogteverschil. Los Olivos is the second course of Mijas Golf. It’s a plot smaller and trickier than the other but also funny. If you get the fairway with your driver you have half way done except in the first 2 holes with the elevated greens, it’s not easy to get the par. Challenging for all hcps. The restaurant is a must at the end!

Played my first every round of golf abroad on the Los Lagos course at Mijas. Baring in mind it's winter over there, the fairways were immaculate and the greens rolled so pure. Los Lagos is the best course in the area, flat and easy to walk it and fantastic design. Enjoyable for the longest players, wide fairways and fair for all. Good mantenaince and challenging greens. A round course, I like everything. Also the restaurant is a must, very well managed by Jesus Porras.

Los Olivos is not a bad course but compared to its big brother, Mijas Golf, it has nothing to do. It is a short course and in my opinion too tricky, I guess if you play it very often you can make few shots. The greens were not perfect but the maintenance in general was ok.

On every tee shot you have a wide open fairway to aim at with not much trouble if you miss. It's slightly uninteresting. However, the next shot/s gets very interesting. As the Lagos name suggests (lakes) there is a lot of water and with fast greens even if you hit the green it can run on or spin back into water. Some great par 5's with great risk/reward shots. Very nice area and golf course. Many driver holes but demanding around the greens. Strange clubhouse but well equipped.

Mooie, redelijk vlakke banen. Wel langs de weg / huizen, beetje gevaarlijk. Als je niet "twilight" boekt is het erg duur in oktober. Probleem is onvoldoende buggies. Spelers tijdens vakantie hebben meestal geen trolley bij zich en gezien de warmte is een buggy erg fijn.

Had high expectations of this club as it rates pretty high around the internet. Unfortunately, I did not find it such a great experience. The clubhouse and restaurant both have a mediocre appearance, however, the staff was quite friendly. The course itself is not as challenging as I expected and I just think there are much better courses nearby.

Mooie brede fairways, maar ook veel water. En ook nogal bebouwing, wat niet fijn is als je niet altijd kaarsrecht slaat. We kwamen o.a. tegen vlak langs de holes: een hotel tuin, een drukke weg, een zwembad met kinderen. Verder is het echt gevaarlijk om hole 18 te spelen want die ligt bezaaid met ballen van de drivingrange. Onderhoud goed, greens prachtig maar geen herhaa… Mehr

Los Lagos is een lastige en risicovolle baan om te spelen. Ja, brede fairways en mooie greens. Op de baan zelf is eigenlijk weinig aan te merken. Maar de problemen zitten aan de rand. Dit is een baan waarop je echt loepzuiver moet slaan. Kleine afwijkingen worden genadeloos afgestraft en brengen hier en daar ook gevaar met zich mee. In onze flight zagen we een fairway … Mehr

De club heeft mooie laagseizoen aanbiedingen (65 euro incl buggy) die simpel online te boeken zijn bij de baan. Ik mocht op hole 10 starten en de caddy-master reed voor me uit om me de weg te wijzen nadat ik eerst op de verkeerde lus stond. De lus lag er prima onderhouden bij, hoewel er hier en daar wel wat bijna droge plekken rondom de fairways ontstonden. De greens zijn… Mehr

Tenía muchísimo interés en jugar este campo, nunca antes lo había hecho pero si conocía a su autor, Robert Trent Jones, del que ya he jugado varías de sus maravillas como Valderrama, Sotogrande, Las Brisas, Naranjos y El bosque, campos donde cada hoyo es una aventura. Lovely, challenging golf course. There are 2 courses here. Both great to play. The views are Spectacular. Both 'Thinking' courses. Plenty to get you going. Only weired thing, Los Olivos you start on the 10th? Sent my Santa watch doolally, lol.

Excellent course very enjoyable for high and low handicappers. Will he back soon.

Very nice course. Quite long with a lot of water. Clubhouse was closed due to Corona. Buggy was old. Facilities need some refreshments. After all I had a nice day of golf!

Spännande layout och mycket vatten. Det blev några plums. Bättre bunkrar än Los Olivos. Kommer gärna tillbaka.

Bra bana och bra layout. Det enda som inte var bra var bunkrarna.

More signage to the 1st and 10th tees would be good. We were not sure where we were going with the golf buggy. Reception staff were very friendly and efficient.

Un campo semplice. Fairway decentemente tenuti. Nella media.

When we where playing Los Lagos there was less water in the lakes and give a Little boring look. Otherwise it was good. Los olivos was a suprise. Nice course there no hole like each other.

Na in de ochtend Lagos te hebben gespeeld deden we na een heerlijke lunch Los Olivos (als je ze beide speelt op 1 dag krijg je een aardige korting en speel je voor 30 euro)nog er achteraan. Een hele andere lay out maar toch ook weer uitstekend verzorgd. Ook hier krijg je het niet aldoor cadeau en moet je goed je baanmanagement in de gaten houden anders gaat het fout voora… Mehr

Kuperad och vacker bana. Öppna ytor som är förlåtande med sneda slag. Krävande att gå men golfbil får bara köra på vägar så vinsten blir inte så stor.

Played as an inter club matchplay against a couple of very friendly members who made our day very enjoyable. A good course to play and a nice place to visit. The course is well described with Olive trees dotted around the fairways to catch out any wayward shots. There is also some water strategically placed around some of the holes. Very nice course (Olivos), easy also walk with trolley, no need for buggy. Restaurant nice.
