Lenzie was founded in 1889 and following several extensions
the course now has a playing length of 5, 984-yards and a standard
scratch of 69. The course is parkland and prominent features
include the old beech trees that line some of the fairways together
with thorn hedges and shallow ditches. Extensive Larch and Fir
plantations have also been created. The course is relatively flat
apart from a steep hill to the green at the fifth hole. From this
vantage point there is a fine view of the surrounding countryside
and beyond to Ben Lomond in the distance.
