Course was in pretty good condition considering the recent cold wet weather. But still rather scruffy in tee boxes and greens. Fabulous views across the Firth of Forth. Plenty of golfers out enjoying this municipal course.
First three holes are all uphill so hard work. But then it’s plain sailing for a few holes. Great scenery over Edinburgh. The course is in pretty good condition considering the wet weather, and mats for playing off the fairways are now mandatory. Clubhouse staff are always very welcoming and I had the best ever haddock, chips and peas for lunch.
Wee Braids is a municipal Edinburgh 9 hole course with some nice holes and magnificent views across Edinburgh and over the Firth ion Forth to Fife. It’s a tricky test and a fun course to play. It’s let down by the poor facilities - parking is a joke and the clubhouse is a hut. But at £14 per round, you get what you pays for!
