Situated in the lush and serene suburb of Irene, our club has a lot to offer. Originally established as a golf club in 1911, the Irene Country Club has since expanded to include a range of other sporting activities. This includes; tennis, cricket, bowls, and squash (in addition to golf, of course). Our club includes an 18-hole golf course, a cricket pitch, 2 bowling greens, 6 tennis courts (4 of which are floodlit), 2 squash courts, and a driving range.

On the day I played here. The course was very dry, but in saying that, there was a bad drought. And for the courses I played back then, one could see that this course is well looked after and green most of the time.

Unfortunately I feel a slightly decreased level of quality around this golf club. The course itself meaning tee, fairway and greens deserve a higher grade. But the level of service is not up to standard. Bad assistance renting a cart, no balls available at the range. I waited almost 20 min to first find the staff at the range and then get hold of balls.
