Kirimaya is an Golf and Spa resort located on the edge of Khao Yai national park. The hotel is superb and the surrounds are nothing short of stunning. The course itself is a fabulous layout (Jack Nicklaus designed) with great bunkering and tree lined fairways. I played it during the dry season at is was obvious that the course was in desperate need of some rain. The fairways were bone dry but still very playable and the greens were very true but a little on the slow side. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable Golf course to play with a number of excellent holes throughout. Standout holes for me were 10,16,17 and 18. Khao Yai has around 7 Golf courses on the fringes of the national park. Temperatures are much cooler than Bangkok and there is some great value Golf to be played here. It’s well worth the 2 hour drive from the capital.
