Son Quint is part of the Arabella golf complex, which offers a quite diverse range of courses within a couple of km’s from each other. Each playing differently and suited for different tastes and skills. They are interlinked with an excellent shuttle service – ideal especially when you stay in the accompanied hotels. Within this group, after the Pitch&put, the Son Quint is the stepping stone. It may not match Son Vida or Son Muntaner, but it is definitely a very nice course which is challenging but still playable for all handicaps. It is laid out at the fringe of the woods and hills that are the backdrop of Palma – on this Sunday many hikers passed by. Treelines separate the holes and it doesn’t feel like a zig-zag course, although in fact most holes run parallel to each other. The more interesting part of the course starts from #10, which brings a water hazard into play. Unfortunately for us, the water came into play from the sky as well. This didn’t deter us, but the green of #17 couldn’t cope with the water. For me, I would have liked a second chance at this course, and to enjoy the beautiful views across the bay as well.
