Club De Golf Larrabea

Un campo espectacular! My first time playing there was today and I will be joining as a member. The course is nothing spectacular, in terms of layout, but it is very well maintained. It’s a bargain for the price.

Just played this course once, so my opinion of the course might change as I play it more times. But at least on this ocasion I have got recalls of a great day. Club is located in the middle of an Atlantic forest on the slope of a mountain. Just driving to the club house is like if you were going to a trekking in the Pyrenees: mountain cows calmly eating in the meadows, surrounded by dense packs of woods of beech, green fern everywhere. Club house is a typical vasque country building, with lovely views on the back and a cozy bar and restaurant where I had a nice quick meal before the round, and enjoyed a beer after playing, surrounded by local players that seemed to score quite a low score, since they were signing all at once (typical vasque too). The course was in great shape, with firm fast greens, good fairways and bunkers. It was quite amusing to play, not two holes of the same kind, very hilly, quite winding. I found the course extremely hard, not having clear in some holes how to play them. Some had wide fairways, some very narrow ones. Some long holes but mostly short and tricky ones. Roughs were a nightmare for a golfer, and a pleasure for nature lovers, full of fern and huge old trees. Will try to play it again to see if I adapt better to the course and figure out how to play some of the tricky holes. A very nice day, an original golfing experience for someone used to commercial golf courses in the coast, as me.

Espectacular campo, mucho bosque, técnico, salidas entre el bosque, los greenes perfectos, zona de entrenamiento muy buena, proshop espectacular, instalaciones muy buenas, hay que tener muy en cuenta el clima, varia mucho. Otro campo que es una cita obligada para todo golfista.
