I was lucky enough to qualify for an amateur tournament held at Oitavos back in June 2018. The course is located just outside of the lovely coastal town of Cascais about 30 mins drive from Lisbon. The course itself is part of a luxury resort and has a mix of links style holes and tree lined holes. It’s a stunning layout with some fabulous par 3 holes in particular. It was in magnificent condition when I played it and the greens were running at around 12 on the stint meter. It’s a course that you must plot your way around and if you do that well, you can certainly score well. Although, that does depend on the wind direction and speed. A thorough enjoyable course to play and one which I would never tire of returning to play. A must visit if you are in the area.
