Golf Club Prague is one of the oldest Czech golf clubs. The club was founded at the constituent general meeting on March 15 1926, which was probably held at the Prague Palace Hotel. The members of the committee were Baron František Ringhoffer, Ing. Jaroslav Jahn and British envoy Sir George Clerk. The club’s history is connected with the Prague parts of Motol and Klánovice. The original course was located near today’s Na Homolce Hospital. The current location is situated on the opposite hill, where volunteers from the club built the course in the early 1970s.

Played a nice 9 holes at the Golf Club Praha. Unfortunately they only opened at 10:30, and we were there already at 09:30, but we did not get a lot of help from the greenkeepers.
Nice course with quite some elevation in it, but relatively small fairways.
We rented clubs, relatively old.

This course is 5 minute from our office, so its must for me to play.
I was nicely surprised about it, course its located close to main street and its reachable even by tram. It has all the necessary training areas and needed facilities. Its obviously a bit noisy and busy, since its municipal course and on top of it its a divided by road, so you have to watch for the cars…
