"Golfing in the park" is the credo under which the current board of directors places golf in Baden-Baden. The Baden-Baden Golf Club is the third oldest in Germany, founded in 1901 on the initiative of the English Reverend T. Archibald S. White. However, golf was already played in 1895 in Lichtentaler Allee in Baden-Baden.
From the year of foundation until 1927, the course was located in the Baden Oos district. In 1929 the new course, situated above the roofs of Baden-Baden, at the foot of the Fremersberg, was inaugurated. Since then, the site has been continually adapted to modern requirements, but has retained its original character.
