This club we visited on the way back from Poland. I wanted to play the Niedersachsen course and that is what we did. Hardenberg is a big club, with not only the 2 18 hole course, but also a nine and a six hole course. At first we didn't know where to go, but the indications on the maps are quite clear, and that are at least 5 different parkings all indicated. Again like on Bad Saarow, but for a different reason, I deduct several points for hospitality. We had made reservation for the cart, which I always double check before every course visit, but the lady at reception insisted that we didn't make reservation for a cart and that we couldn't get one. To cut the discussion short I finally showed the mail I got from the club indicating I did have the cart included. Very annoying this kind of discussion when someone continues to get things wrong, while you know for sure it isn't correct. Without the cart we could not have played, as my travelling partner can't walk 18 holes. Facilities are decent with a driving range for members and a different location for visitors. The course is designed by David Krause, and I really liked this design. In fact I rate it as one of the top courses in Germany. A few holes with water in play, but not too much. Of course you have to deal with the island green at the signature hole 11th shaped as a boar's head, which is of course the logo of the club. I had a nice meal and dessert in the clubhouse, and good points for the waitress, because she seemed in a good mood and the service came with a smile.
