Le choix des golfeurs
Heures de golf
There has been written before about the seperate visitor parking before. So I was warned. Probably due to member's complaints, but I agree with others that it is not the most client friendly welcome. At reception I was pleasantly surprised with the reduction that we got, because we had visited before, but could not play because golf carts were not allowed. Before the round we had lunch at the clubhouse. We (2 persons) had both a drink and took a sandwich ham-cheese and the total price was 13 EUR. Can't be beaten. For the driving range you need tokens. They did not mention that at reception, so we needed to go back. We played the loops Etangs and Les Bruyeres. I had requested it that way, so was nice. Etangs is probably the most difficult, but it's my favorite. Les Bruyeres is good too. The course is in good shape with excellent fairways, and decent greens. The tee areas seem to be a bit worn out, I think that should move the tees a bit furhter front or back in time. We played sunday afternoon as a two ball with a cart, so I was prepared for long waits. However we finished the round very quickly and only had to wait on the last 3 holes. We passed one fourball at hole 5, they had been given instructions to let us pass. Excellent. After the round we went back to the clubhouse for diner. As it was a sunny evening the clubhouse was very crowded, and staff was very busy. We had to wait quite a long time to get served. The meal was good and once again I was surprised by the small amount we had to pay. Price quality this was very good and plenty of beers they have on their card. We spent a pleasant day here, and in my opinion Royal Hainaut ranks in the top 10 clubs of Belgium.
