Inaugurated in December 1991, Golf Santa Ponsa II is a 6,053 m, par 72 course. Many of the holes are situated in a small pine forest or among large lakes, offering players a variety of game options. The 18th hole is especially interesting, being located on an island in the shape of the island of Mallorca.
Santa Ponsa II also offers opportunities to learn golf on a training course 350 m long, with tees in both directions of more than 100 m, a putting green and a golf school. Santa Ponsa II is reserved for the shareholders of the society. Each year important tournaments take place here, including the 1995 Balearic Open.
Santa Ponsa II was designed by José Gancedo and its main feature is that it is on flat ground and the biggest difficulty lies in the water hazards. It is not a particularly difficult course, because the greens are not very well protected and so are easy to get onto. The course is located in a residential area. The first 9 holes run through trees and the second are less protected, with many big lakes affecting 4 holes and making the end of the round quite spectacular. Several bridges and two islands run across it.
Greens are dying because of thatch and has a lot of dead areas. Feel sorry for the members. Could be a gem if maintained better but now its just a sad experience.
