With its challenging 18-hole course, the characteristic clubhouse and a picturesque setting with a view of the Alps, the Golf & Country Club Zurich stands for a long sporting tradition and the endeavor to combine competitive golf with friendly encounters.
The Golf & Country Club Zurich was founded in the 1920s in the tradition of an English golf club. The legendary British golf pro Tom Williamson designed the course in 1929 in the English championship style. From the beginning and until today, the Golf & Country Club Zurich has been a private club where members do not have to reserve tee time to play.
During the season, green fee players are warmly welcome to play and use the restaurant during the week. The course is reserved exclusively for club members and their guests on weekends and public holidays. Latest tee time for visitors is 2 p.m.
The golf course was completely redesigned from 2015 to 2018 for the third time in the history of the Golf & Country Club Zurich. The well-known golf course architect Thomas Himmel was responsible. Renommierter Club ganz in Stadtnähe. Sehr ruhig und schön gelegen. Der Platz (vor dem Umbau) ist zum Teil recht abwechslungsreich zu spielen, zum Teil sind die Löcher eher etwas langweilig. Back-nine mit vielen Schräglagen.

The course is enjoyable, but can be long off the back tees if soft. The condition was excellent, but some of the slopes on the greens are a bit overboard. Pity about the road that cuts through the course. Clubhouse and members can be a bit stiff at times.
