Although this course is only 20 minutes from my house, I never played it before (only their short course). Somehow something always prevented me from playing here. This golf club had a very nice 18-hole course, but they decided to dedicate a large part of the course for solar panels. I understand that this is a more steady and reliable source of income. We played here to say goodbye to one of our employees. It’s a high-end club and the facilities are great. Good driving range and free balls and you can from the grass. Spandersbosch is a tight forest course which opens up on the last few holes. It’s not really a problem that the course is tight, but the fairways also slope quite a bit which results in difficult shots even if you hit a straight iron. In my opinion this is not really fair. It’s pretty difficult to rate Barlassina. The club is a real member and country club and has just opened its doors to non-members and has quite some plans to improve the course. Villa d’Este was the highlight of the trip for me. The Dom Pedro Victoria course is a proper championship course. It's a challenging course and you can make it even more challenging if you move to the medal tees.
