Pula Golf Resort - 25 years of excellence

Pula Golf was initially founded in 1995 and the resort opened in 1997. With a total of 31 apartments and rooms and an 18-hole golf course, it is a rather small resort. The area is really quiet and relaxed, with beautiful beaches and bays.

The maintenance at Pula Golf Resort is excellent, the layout is good and the views of the distant surroundings are great. It is a par 72 course with a total length of 6246 meters / 6831 yards.

The tee boxes are mostly terraced, cleanly mowed and in good condition. The fairways and rough are also in good condition and cleanly mowed out. It is not too difficult to play out of it. The greens are in top condition, like carpet - fast and true to the line. The course is located on relatively open terrain, there is little residential development in the area. The immediate area directly adjacent to the course is not quite as nice. However, the view of the distant surroundings with mountains, and on the last holes even the sea, compensate for that. There are a few beautiful, well designed, water hazards and it is absolutely quiet on the course.

The Pula golf course is for players of all levels because of the wide fairways, rarely strong elevation changes, and not too long holes. The distances between the holes are usually short, the next tees are well signposted and there are plenty of restrooms on the course. There's a large two-story Trackman driving range and several putting, chipping, and pitching greens. All in all, very good practice facilities.

The hotel complex was fully renovated in 2017. There are 31 apartments and rooms in total. 10 of them are located in the finca, which was built in 1581, and the remaining rooms are distributed in other beautiful buildings across the complex.

The hotel has been awarded and certified multiple times. Guests realize quickly that it is a value and sustainability-driven concept, profit is not the first priority. The hotel also includes a neat spa and gym. The spa contains a heated pool, a whirlpool, a sauna, a hammam, massage area, and dressing rooms. The gym contains ergometers, dumbbells, a cable tower, and enough gear for a sufficient workout.

The restaurant, S’era de Pula, first opened its doors in 1969. It offers few, specific, and high-quality dishes. Varying from salads and pasta to homemade ice cream and sorbets. Almost all dishes contain fresh vegetables and fruit, harvested from their own garden. Also, the bread has been handmade ever since and is of great quality. For its production, a traditional fire stone oven is still in use.

The Pula Golf Resort is proud of its Eco Garden. The garden is about 6,000 m² big and is a great supplier of healthy products for the whole resort in a sustainable way. One realizes that sustainability is important at Pula, and not just a pseudo slogan without any real dedication. From the cleaning staff to the management, everyone is dedicated to sustainability and a great customer experience.

In the past years many golf professionals, amongst whom Sergio Garcia, Miguel Angel Jiminez, Jose Maria Olazabal, and many others, have played at Pula Golf Resort. It has been host to several European Tour Events (today DP World Tour) like the Mallorca Classic (2003 – 2007), or the Berdrola Open (2010, 2011), to name a few.

The initial founder of the resort, Romeo Sala, always listened carefully to the advice of professional golfers and focused on improving the course year in and year out, eventually topped by a redesign of Jose Maria Olazabal in 2004 - 2006. This approach, among many other positives, has been passed on to his son and today’s general manager, Arnau Sala Tous.

A warm-hearted relaxed atmosphere awaits you at Pula. The personnel make you feel at home right away. Due to the rather small size of the resort, there is also a wonderful family-like atmosphere, where you come quickly and easily in contact with the other guests.

With excellent green keeping, great service, and a warm atmosphere, Pula Golf Resort is a great spot on the Balearic Islands!
