I promised myself to return to Hollinwell after ghastly weather had blighted previous visits and, boy, am I glad that I did. Hollinwell was in superb condition early in March despite frightful forecasts of a big freeze. From the helpful pro to the friendly and welcoming club house staff including the lovely lady at the halfway house, the whole experience was a delight. A true test of golf, where you will need to be at your best to avoid the well placed bunkers and conquer the slick greens.

This is the best inland course in the UK. Compared to Sunningdale it is exceptional value. No weak holes and some dramatic changes of elevation. Holes like 2 4 6 and 11 to 18 are memorable. Great work done over recent years to return to original style. With easy access off the M1 it is a perfect day out.

I've been raving about the golf course at Hollinwell to anybody who would listen for the last 20 years since I first played here. The course is magnificent, one of my favourites in fact.

Prachtige maar moeilijke baan doorheen bos, park en heide. Iedere hole is verschillend en vraagt een beredeneerde aanpak! Op de eerste 9 zijn een aantal lastige blindshots. Veel hoogteverschillen en enkele fantastische teeshots. Wilie Park tekende hier een meesterwerk! Precisiegolf vereist. Bravo!

Een echt Engelse bosbaan met enkele verrassende speelse holes. Bv een par 3 helemaal naar beneden waarbij de afstand moeilijk is in te schatten. Er zijn ook recht toe recht aan holes met brede fairways echter op de laatste gaat de drive over water richting clubhuis. Leuk om een keer gespeeld te hebben.
